Frederick Hester : A brief history in pictures - Page 6 : The Family Frederick Hester's short time on Canvey Island is a facinating and sometimes mysterious part of Canvey's history due to the small amount of information available about his developments. Whilst much is documented about his plans it is more difficult to find out how much was actually built. By all accounts he was a tall powerfully built man with a commanding voice and distinguished appearance. Below is a photograph of this great man reproduced here with permission from his decendants for the first time.
