Margaret Wilson writes "This is the story of these pictures. Fred and Mary Thoepos. my father George Wilson, and the other men in this photo? were all on the carnival Committee the year 1960? When they went to get the crown for the Carnival night crowning, the lady who used to loan it couldn't make up her mind whether or not to loan it this particular year, she hummed and ared, dad was told it was like that every year and you had to almost beg for it. Fred and Dad said why don't we do something about it for once and for all. FRED and Mary decided to buy the crown, some one else bought the tiara and my father, husband Stan and I chipped in to buy the pendent"
