Newlands area late 40s early 50s

I have posted my memories here:

I am still not entirely sure about the road my grandparents bungalow was in and wondered if anyone could pinpoint it. Or if anyone has memories of that area just prior to the floods. It was definitely one of the long grass roads leading north to the sea wall and you can see the wall and the steps in the photo of me on the motorcycle. There was just one house between us and the sea wall. I also remember a water standpipe in one of the roads running east to west as we used to walk around to collect water (I think there was a key to access the water). From memory as you looked over the sea wall Hadleigh Castle was nearly opposite.

My grandparents did not return after the flood but my uncle Ron Cornell who lived one road away west and directly under the wall moved back in after the floods (he was staying in second home in Upney when the floods came).

I have now found out the road was HEILSBURG ROAD and my uncle was Fred Cornell - not Ron
